Description: In an alpine ski resort, children from different countries spend the vacations together with their parents. Their playful competitions in the snow are marred by difficulties of understanding and national rivalries. After a little English girl is injured while playing, the children pool their pocket money to buy chocolate for her at the bakery. A 'cunning' film. All you see of the adults is their feet, until the narrator's lesson in the final sequence, "Maybe this is a lesson for the adult world." © 2002 Linda R. Christenson
